Wonton soup and beef chow foon. Wonton was so big and there’s actually a shrimp in each wonton. Beef chow foon was of large quantity and great taste. Would like to try other stuff here! View all feedback.
What Kentaro doesn't like about Chinatown Cafe.:
The “chicken” that I got on my plate was almost 80% bone. The pork was also mostly bone. We went close to closing time but they should’ve just not taken our order instead of giving us scraps. View all feedback.
This would have been a 5-star review, with taking a few details. first line, as many others have noticed, eating is very good, the portions are huge, and the prices are appropriate. the price that was calculated 14.70 for ordering sesam chicken, however, was about $5 more than the price on the own online menu page of the shop. it was still worth, but they start with a bad taste in their mouth. the menu has an arrest exclusion that can change the prices, but if they get a dish for 1/2 again, what they thought they were paying, it ranked *note to restaurant update their price information on their website! secondly, that is a real Chinese restaurant as I would find in nys chinatown. the roasted duck/pork/chicken hangs in a case just inside the door, and there are plexiglas barriers that separate customers from the personal as COVID protection. Unfortunately, the barrier also disconnects customers from waiting staff who do not speak English. I understand that many, if not most of their clientele is Chinese, but for English-speaking customers, order and pay (especially if prices do not match expectations) can be at least difficult. it's like going to a restaurant in peking and ordering in English. it also does not help that the conversation level of the personal is loud and not to stop, and they do not create an enthusiastic way of communicating with non-Chinese speaking customers. about eating:Wonton soup is absolutely amazing. it is a meal for 3-4 people. the liquid fraction is given separately from the sommen and vegetables (picked as spinat, probably was a kind of cauliflower.) the wintons (12 of them) were the size of the golf balls and were filled with garnel, pigs and perhaps chickens. whatever the combo was, it was excellent. each on a low sodium diet should skip the broth. it was salty and savory. sliced pork about rice was just that, but a ton of it, maybe half tylloin or more. the court weighed 2 pounds alone, maybe more. Finally, the sesame chicken was served with broccoli and had a honey/soya sauce that was delicious. the chicken was coated with a broth or flour coating and dusted with sesame seeds. and again, the part was huge, good for probably 3 hungry people. my advice is to go for eating and the worth and to give up the attitude. enjoy!
I love her brat, frying and chicken comb plate! this place is a jewel! I'll be back next time!
Authentic style food. many Chinese families take out what is always a good sign. pretty good and fast! my father is picky about authentic Chinese foods and command them. only now with covid. loved the original owners and miss them!
Yummy! white rice with roasted pork and huh. only $13
Highly authentic Cantonese cuisine. Recommend the roast duck. May have long lines and it only takes cash.
