"If you happen to be near Kirton, I highly recommend this place. Its a converted house but with a reasonable amount of tables and a small bar up stairs. The food is fantastic as is the service. A real hidden gem."

"Had another fantastic meal at The Ship Inn peppered steak chips and veg cooked to perfection and my hubby had the lamb shank mash and veg and enjoyed it very much. The service it top class always friendly and welcoming especially with my son who is a fussy eater and still they always manage to cook something he enjoys. I can't wait for the caravan season to start again so we can eat here every week. Xxxx"

"Went in a big group and they forgot my main course. They didn't even acknowledge their mistake. Bad experience. I don't recommendThanks for your reply, but serving a big group is not an excuse to miss a whole order especially I was on the first round when the number was the least. I would have definitely given you a full 5 stars inly if I tasted the food. Leaving a restaurant and going to home to eat, in my opinion is the worst experience can get from a restaurant."

"The restaurant is a 5-10 minute walk from the centre of Boston but well worth the trip. The staff were friendly and could not make us feel more welcome. The food and service was first class, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"Fantastic food and service. As someone mentioned earlier, Bateman’s XB is served much too cold for beer. As cold as that, which is ok for lager, kills the flavour but probably put through a snake with all the other drinks. Was perfect on our previous visits."
