Normally it is fun to discover a new and unique restaurant. And while this one boasted gourmet handheld pies, there was something missing. I chose the steak and ale pie. The crust was delightfully crisp and well-browned, but the filling contained large chunks of steak, a few peas, and a rather bland sauce. Overall, the pie was ok but flat on seasonings. "Still one of the best restaurants in Colorado. The views are outstanding. We arrived early enough to have the sun set during our time there. The food, as always, is outstanding. We left so full. The best aspect of the Flagstaff House is the service. Since we were celebrating a birthday, the menu was custom printed with the celebrant's name and date on it. The server then offered to have the menu placed in our car so we would not forget it. The overall service from arrival to departure was top notch. This is a large reason why we visit the Flagstaff House for those special occasions. You do feel like royalty"

"Very good food. Beef Wellington is the best I had on the menu. Although the waiting time taxi long at times the staff is quite friendly and accommodating. I recommend this place for special events or occasional Fancy date!"
