"East Kent Triumph MCC planned a day trip over to France to visit Atlantic Wall Batterie Todt Museum. After reading many Trip advisor reviews on local resturants and places to eat, we decided on La Table Du Beffroi in Bolougne old town. With a few emails it was booked and Thomas was aware that one of our members has a bad Gluten intolerance ... no problem we can cater for this was the reply we wanted. Mussels in leek white wine sauce Brouchette de Beef Fish steak all in lovely sauces with crispy chips were all cook to perfection. Deserts were Ice cream of all flavours. We fully recommend this friendly and family run resturant with its relaxed atmostphere it 's beautiful setting in Old Town Bolougne next to the Residence car park and bandstand park square to everyone and everybody. We will be back for more 3 hour+ lunches !!! sitting out on your shaded decking area. Graeme Clark East Kent Triumph Owners Club"

"Nous sommes venus un dimanche soir à 7 accompagné de mon parrain qui à l'habitude de venir à cette adresse. L'accueil était un peu froid. Après avoir choisi 4 menus à 26€ un à 24, et deux ado à la carte, nous choisissons une bouteille de vin dans une carte où les millésimes ne sont pas indiqués, ce vin n'avait pas de goût, nous ne sentions que le goût de l'alcool. Nous demandons conseil au serveur qui nous dit : " pas de problème je vous change la bouteille de suite, je l'ai goûter derrière effectivement il n'a pas de goût" mon parrain hésitant sur son choix, ce même serveur à su lui dire qu'il était venu il y a deux mois en tête à tête avec sa femme et qu'ils avaient bu tel vin... nous avons donc pris cette bouteille.En amuse bouche un mini "gaspacho" sans grand intérêt!Les gambas et les poissons étaient malheureusement trop cuits, par contre le foie gras belle cuisson et assaisonnement juste.La cuisson de l'agneau était correct par contre trop gras, garnitures minimaliste et le jus sans goût dommage.En dessert les fromages étaient bien affinés et la poêlée de fraises comme à la maison... Au moment de l'addition quelle surprise de voir que la bouteille de vin que nous n'avions pas bu avait était facturé et en plus aucun geste commercial en conséquence ( sachant qu'il n'y avait que 3 buveurs d'alcool à table, la moindre des chose aurait était d’offrir un digestif ou un café surtout pour des clients que l'on reconnait ! ) Nous sommes peu être tombé un mauvais jour mais nous n'y retournerons plus!"

"Visited L'Oree du Bois 18 months ago and found it very good. Visited again in late October 2016 and were left with concerns about falling standards. For lunch we were told there was no a la carte, but would we like dish of the day?...Yes, and it turned out to be blanquette de veau served in a large terrine, preceded by an amuse bouche, with a small cake as desert. Limited fare, but acceptable. Visited again a few days later and were told no a la carte, but we could have dish of the day. Guess what!: blanquette de veau etc etc. First point: rather repetitive, surely. Second point, second time round the blanquette showed every sign of being heated up from the previous week. The cake was dry and crumbly this too was a leftover from the previous week. L'Oree has enjoyed Michelin rating, but the Guide will surely remove it from the listings if such slack treatment of food (and customers) persists."

"After seeing the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor we booked a table for lunch. The restaurant is in the industrial area next to the marina and Findus Factory. On arrival we were immediately shown our table in this packed restaurant. We were given menus in English and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our food arrived and was fresh, hot and delicious. The fish gougons to start had superb sauce, the Ray and Cod dishes for our mains were excellent. As we had gone for the E22 set menu we all also had desserts. If ever we are in Boulogne again we will definitely return."
