"East Kent Triumph MCC planned a day trip over to France to visit Atlantic Wall Batterie Todt Museum. After reading many Trip advisor reviews on local resturants and places to eat, we decided on La Table Du Beffroi in Bolougne old town. With a few emails it was booked and Thomas was aware that one of our members has a bad Gluten intolerance ... no problem we can cater for this was the reply we wanted. Mussels in leek white wine sauce Brouchette de Beef Fish steak all in lovely sauces with crispy chips were all cook to perfection. Deserts were Ice cream of all flavours. We fully recommend this friendly and family run resturant with its relaxed atmostphere it 's beautiful setting in Old Town Bolougne next to the Residence car park and bandstand park square to everyone and everybody. "Visited L'Oree du Bois 18 months ago and found it very good. Visited again in late October 2016 and were left with concerns about falling standards. For lunch we were told there was no a la carte, but would we like dish of the day?...Yes, and it turned out to be blanquette de veau served in a large terrine, preceded by an amuse bouche, with a small cake as desert. Limited fare, but acceptable. Visited again a few days later and were told no a la carte, but we could have dish of the day. Guess what!: blanquette de veau etc etc. First point: rather repetitive, surely. Second point, second time round the blanquette showed every sign of being heated up from the previous week. The cake was dry and crumbly this too was a leftover from the previous week. L'Oree has enjoyed Michelin rating, but the Guide will surely remove it from the listings if such slack treatment of food (and customers) persists."
