We loved this little gem of a place in the mountains. After cycling from Geneva we were caught in heavy rain at the foot of Roseland. After climbing and descending a short distance we were cold and wet but received a really friendly and helpful welcome and were soon enjoying a beer after a revitalising hot shower. What Elisa Lemée doesn't like about Auberge De La Nova:
The dormitories are comfortable and the location is not bad after the descent of the Col de la Croix du Bonhomme, but the road is right next to what dramatically changes the mountain atmosphere of the TMB. The picnic is expensive compared to what is offered to the grocery in front (9,90€ versus 14€... . We stayed here for one night during the TMB and enjoyed it. Rooms were clean, good water pressure, nice outdoor seating area. Cash only for the bar and no wifi. Breakfast was a bit too simple (yogurt, cereal, bread), but dinner was simple and tasty (soup, potatoes, stewed beef, cheese, panna cotta). We were doing luggage transfer and we had originally thought they could not transport here, but they totally can and it worked out fine.
Our expectations of this place were exceeded by the amazing dinner which won best food in our group for TMB. Nice places to sit and have drinks after hiking. Little market with snacks nearby. Dorms and showers were pretty standard for TMB. Super friendly staff

Arrive at in the evening tired and late from long walk in the TMB to hot shower, amazing food and warm welcome. The place is very clean and nice.
