A little bit out of the way but really worth the effort this place changed hands a few years ago and the new owners have maintained a great standard. The menu is different from what you see in most Alpine restaurants and the dishes are executed very well. Try cocotte to start, the planche d'Arcelle main and the cafe gourmand for desert. What User doesn't like about Le Chalet de l'Arcelle:
Seven of us pre-booked for a late lunch whilst skiing. Very nice lay-out and homely atmosphere, although the smell of cooked cheese was quite over-powering. Took 15 minutes to get menus and another 15 minutes to give our order. 400g "individual" steaks turned out to have a sizeable bone and were quite fatty, whereas the 300g lunchtime special was straight fillet.
