This place has potential but is overpriced and understaffed. Last time I was there the kitchen door was squeaking louder than the music. The staff tries hard an...

"Came in for my first time and was greeted with the warmest welcome. I inquired about the menu to order some takeout, and the friendliest woman (didn’t catch her name) shared with me how everything is prepared in house and offered some suggestions. She was so personable and knowledgeable about the food and I felt confident I’d select items I’d love… and I did. I got a 2 meat plate with fries and potato salad, and a kids meal with cheesy potatoes and baked beans, with a side cornbread muffin and a sweet tea. Every single thing was so good. My favorite sauce was the mustard base. I will certainly be back to try the burnt ends and cheesecake. Give them a try, and get the sweet tea while you wait!Dietary restrictions: I also had just had gastric bypass surgery, and the portion sizes were great and came in containers with lids (kids meal) so I could eat a little at a time, and save the rest for later."

"Kermit?s is the restaurant every small city should have. The food is solid and consistently good. The atmosphere is friendly, and the service is always great. And then there?s the bean soup. Bean soup is best aged. Kermit?s bean soup reminds me of thepot of soup Mom would start in the morning and let cook until dinner that night,, then pop it in the fridge and pull it out thenext day, warm it up and feed it to us for lunch. Kermit?s is that good. It?s no wonder this place is never empty. I highlyrecommend."
