I am not one who complains to me, but I must say that this was absolutely the worst thing I have ever tasted. so bad that I can almost still taste it when I think about it and I get sick in mine. the Cuban bowl ordered. big mistake. not only my black steak was very rubbery and lacked taste, the rice that accompanied him in the bowl, tasted fishy and very garlicky. And don't even let me start on the fried plantains. i... View all feedback.
I rate 5 stars because this business has a lot of good things going for them. Their costumer service is impeccable and their food is high quality. There is a wide variety of items to choose from-to their famous mac and cheese to salads to wings. I do have one complaint and that is that there is too much variety. I have tried three different items on the menu and two of which included chicken. The chicken was not very good purely because they do not season their chicken before they include it in your bowl. I also think that their menu items do not work very well. There seems to be too much going on within a bowl (too many ingredients like in the teriyaki chicken rice bowl) or too many flavors that do not go together (the Thai pesto bowl had the best pesto I've ever had for the price, but the brown sauce tasted weird and may have been fine independently but likewise did not jive with the pesto). I think that this restaurant could be even better than it already is by simplifying somethings on the menu and focusing on what they're good at (from my experience, the pesto sauce was amazing and could do fine on it's own). Also doing more with the backbones of their dishes (the meats). In other words-they should simplify and perfect what they are doing. But other than my very long winded and not asked for insight, y'all are rocking it and your staff is amazing.
Can't speak highly enough of my first experience eating here! Despite being understaffed and busy, the employees were friendly and personable. The service was quick, and the food... incredible. That barbecue rice bowl was like nothing else I've had here in Bozeman, so delicious. We'll be back!
Good service, good food, great to go. Give this place a check out! Photos for scale.
Has been great having such amazing Mac and cheese and awesome rice bowls! However, their store front has closed. Wouldn't have any idea unless you drive by. Try calling their number, no answer. Contact through Facebook is nearly impossible. Emailing them, no response. They have a sign on their door saying to check Facebook for updates and to find their food truck, except the have next to nothing in their Facebook page. Their website is still up and still says they are open tuesday-saturday. Very poor communication with the community about their situation. Was hoping to reserve their food truck for an event, but since they have had zero response and correspondence, will be going with another vendor. Im not gonna go on a scavenger hunt to track down their truck just to talk to somebody. Another once great restaurant finds that bozeman is truly an inhospitable place for small local businesses.
I 'm not one to complain but I must say that this was absolutely the WORST thing I 've ever tasted I my life. So bad that I can actually almost still taste it if I think about it and I will get sick to my stomach. Ordered the Cuban bowl. BIG MISTAKE. Not only was my blackened steak very rubbery and lacking in flavor itself, the rice accompanying it in the bowl tasted fishy and VERY garlicky. And don 't even get me started on the fried plantains. If I could use one word to describe my experience at Mo 'Bowls, it would be, YUCK. Service was great
