I have read the previous reviews and cannot explain them. Yes, there is a fish tank at the front door but it was clean and had only live fish in it. No greasy smells or cigarette odour at all. The restaurant is not fancy but what fish and chips place is?We went on a Friday night and it was quite busy, especially at the take out. In nice weather you can even be served in the outdoor area.

"We had a lovely lunch. Food was excellent, service perfect, location amazing. The only challenge was finding the restaurant with my 89 year old father. But certainly worth it. Highly recommend the sharing of the dessert tray. We will be back!"

"We were charged an auto gratuity of 20% for a table of six. Took me by surprise that this is the norm now, typically we've had auto-grat for groups of 8 or more.The food was okay. The fish and chips were great, but the lamb burger disappointed. Portion sizes are generous and the atmosphere is wonderful. Our sever was excellent and very very efficient. So well deserving of the auto gratuity."
