After the review of the Halmet on Charlton last week that reminded me the experience of having the almond croissant here last time. It was the similar situation that I tried to compare the almond croissant from this renowned French boutique to the one at the Halmet so drove there to explore this morning. View all feedback.
I ordered one of the pre-made paninis for lunch. It was delicious. The bread was fresh (as expected) and the roast vegetable fillings were generous and delicious. The coffee that followed was also good. Just be careful as it’s easy to go in with good intentions and come out with cake. I had to use all my willpower to prevent cake from happening.
The coffee is consistently good here and the Almond Croissants are AMAZING!!! If only I could eat them everyday. One thing I don’t like is being told to pre-order if I want to purchase 10 of them for a team meeting... WTH?! What does it matter? I’m still paying full price. In future I’ll only buy for myself. :
Really yummy French pastries and excellent coffee makes this local a favourite. Inexpensive too which makes a nice surprise. Service is hit and miss but never brilliant. Overall very reliable if you are after a coffee break.
This place is absolutely gorgeous. The best tasting (and looking) sweets ive had in a long, long time. The chai latte and coffee was also amazing!
Racecourse Road in Ascot, Brisbane is foodie joy with several restaurants on this strip, there is bound to be something for everybody. It is also the place where I found one of the best patisseries in Brisbane – Le Bon Choix. With seating inside it is the perfect place to have an afternoon coffee and cake.
