"Had a very nice breakfast here with colleagues on the way to a funeral. The food was beautifully done and the waitress was very helpful (not sure if her name but I think she had a South African accent). Lovely surroundings and cute tea cosy on the teapots!"

"Perfect small tea room! a table for 7 booked, including small child on bank holiday Monday and the staff could not have been more helpful. scones and cakes are amazing and beautiful sandwiches for small. my daughter loved her huge milkshake and we enjoyed a delicious cup of loose leaf tea. will be returning"

"Really delicious fish, light and crispy teig, so a big piece that she classified as her smaller size. a part of the chips is more than enough for 2 adults. they also do a senior part, which is quite big again. their early herbal roles are beautiful, and they can call in their order and pick up themselves. it is worth it."

"We've been using the Maharaja for a long time. The food has always been immaculate and delivered in a substantial wrapped box so it was always very hot. They were also generous with portions. Tonight we've had small portions of stone cold, oily, grease encrusted rubbish delivered in a plastic bag. I have phoned the restaurant to be told that it's changed hands as well as the Chef. What a surprise! That's the last order we'll be placing until it changes ownership again."

"Lovely friendly staff and nice to sit inside. However, no jacket potatoes left, so I asked for a salad as I’m on a restricted diet currently and although staff were kind and put a salad together it was really just the same as my friend’s side of salad served with his sandwich so I paid in excess of £3 for a handful of salad so I personally felt disappointed with that but appreciate it is a tea and cake/sandwich place but I would definitely recommend it as a very nice cafe in Braintree."

"We have been here for some time when we were moved from another well-known Kebab place in braintree when we wanted to branch off to get back mr kebab. the eating here is absolutely amazing, the pizzas are beautiful and fat I love her kebabs are on another level compared to other places the meat is juicy and very tender to me and the family have not yet found a single dry piece of meat even the pittabrot is a joy to eat fresh and not dry at all. the service of this place and customer service is brilliant I would highly recommend to come here for her eating and the best is the price is amazing for the quality of the foods they receive. below is a picture of what I had for the bad quality picture I was quite hungry and did not want to waste time the perfect picture, that is the herr kebab special, that contains doner, lamb shish, chicken doner, kofte chicken shish. many thanks to herr kebab unfortunately forget to mention her BBQ sauce is sooo good tastes better then heinz"
