"Amazing authentic kababs and shawarma place in Brandon. I’ve been coming here for year and it’s always the freshest. Chicken shawarma is my go to here with nan bread. The atmosphere is amazing that makes you feel you are on the other side of the planet. The owner is always welcoming also which is a great part of this place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"We tend to go there every time we visit Brandon. Salads always fresh and tasty with delicious dressing. Buffet much better value than ala carte. Chicken and pork schnitzel both delicious. Not sure if perogies are made fresh or are frozen. Bratwurst spicy and tasty. Friendly service. Based on your taste and expectations, you will love it or be disappointed. We personally really enjoy the food and will eat there again. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Not a fancy restaurant or chain but more like what you would get home cooked by your German aunt based on recipes handed down from generation to generation."

"Absolutely excellent food. When they say they'll put bacon in your burger, there's bacon there and you can taste it and it's incredibly good. If the king of France was in need of some good fast food this is where I'd send him. The service was also excellent and we were given our food in a quick efficient manner."

"I have never been let down by coffee culture… until today! My husband and I stopped in for lunch and we won’t be returning. I had a caramel frozen ccino and a Caesar wrap, and my husband had an iced tea with a BLT and a bowl of chicken soup. Where to start… my “frozen” ccino wasn’t frozen at all, but I can deal with that. What I can’t deal with is the RAW chicken in my wrap, not to mention the rotten lettuce. My husband’s iced tea was all ice and no tea, after 2 sips it was more than half gone. For $50 I would expect my chicken to be cooked at the very least. I’m sorry, but that just isn’t acceptable. And to top it all off, the service was terrible. Usually when you order you get a number so the staff knows where to go, not today. The girl taking our order was very unprofessional and we had to repeat our order 3 times before she was able to punch it in. Then when our food was coming out, the guy bringing it didn’t know where to go so he just stood there for a full minute before he asked someone where to go. I can understand the bad service, but if you give me raw chicken, you can guarantee I won’t be back."

"We lived for 2 years in Mexico, have been back several times, spent quite a bit of time in Costa Rica and have made short trips to Nicaragua and Guatemala, and we have many good Latino restaurants in the city of 2.5 million we come from. And I've been in the restaurant business. Going by the paucity of customers (well, it was a Monday night, which may partially explain), I'm afraid Brandon may not realize what a little gem they have in this restaurant. The décor is minimalist modern with Latino decorative objects. The service is attentive, friendly but professional. But it's the food to come for. From the basic tortilla chips with fresh inhouse made (everything is) salsa and guacamole to the deliciously rich chicken tortilla soup to the very flavourful empanadas, papusas and tacos, we have rarely had better. The extensive use of cornmeal in Latino cuisine, albeit authentic, often does not appeal to Americans and Canadians because it is made heavy and earthy, but here the execution is light and flavourful. Wheat flour tacos and tortillas are never so good as cornmeal done right. Even the desserts were light and very satisfying. Dinner for 2 with 2 margueritas was just over $50 excluding tip. Great value."

"Easily the best food in Brandon…. I do not eat out due to the lack of quality food now days, but upon coming to Tanas and taking a chance, this is probably the only place I would consider eating out for supper in Brandon…. The food was OUTSTANDING… and I don’t say that lightly. The spices, and flavour was beyond that I could image. It was so good I couldn’t help but dance in my chair while eating!!!! BEST FOOD IN BRANDON, and honestly best food I’ve tasted in my travels for LONG time. Well done tanas! I would have loved to see a more of an African decorated restaurant- I would put money into the design and decor for aesthetic purposes, beyond that, wouldn’t change a thing. Owners were really pleasant and wonderful too!"
