What Johann Kuhlmann doesn't like about Al Dar:
Went there twice and both times really enjoyed the food, although the portions are rather small. Price tag was rather high considering the amount of food. Service was friendly, but very far from professional. Waiters try to 'remember' your order and end up mixing it all up. Can't be so hard to simply use a notepad?? Maybe not the dernier cris in the industry? Don't know, but we had several different waiters serving o... View all feedback.
Unfooled service personnel (except guests present) expensive prices for bad eating and much too small portions the meat has tasted the resistance of a chewing gum during the rice after falling asleep. we will not visit this restaurant again.
Have waited too long to eat or bill. eating was ok, but for the price too little and too expensive. employees were partly friendly. on the appetizer, was specially pointed out that we want them without olives, this was also not taken into account.
What the farmer doesn't know, he doesn't eat. but here with joy our friend had chosen a restaurant for a common Sunday dinner again. as buten bremer we found it in the overseas town in the shed 1. there was nothing left around 12 clock, we have a beautiful window with views of the harbour pool. then we have the cards and ordered the drinks first. • blanc de l' obervatoire, château ksara viognier, supported by sauvignon blanc and chardonnay • ayran fresh homemade yogurt drink with minze • still mineral water, vilsa gourmet instead of scaling from the map in the net to the spiron booked the other couple of vegetarian journey. which consists of vegetarian or vegan (of 2 people) an expedition through 1001 joys. pork, olives, falafel, hommus, muhammara, lebneh, sambusik cheese, sambusik spinat plus two more surprisemazza, rich with Arab brot main dish vegetarian magluba dessert a selection of fine, baked Syrian sweets and homemade ice creams at total price of 31,50 € for this dessert we have four tellers and shared it together. for the first visit there we were thrilled, even the damentoiletten without a tadel. we left almost 160 € there, we enjoyed having money for the two ladies and drinking the men we gave.
Friendly staff, which even led to the table. then a little spicy until the menu is taken and you are asked for the drinks. a collegiate question at the AL-Dar-Teller after kartoffel, but was rejected, the selection of rice or kartoffels would only be possible at certain grades. in the menu, however, is that all main dishes are served with rice or kartoffeln. as an appetizer fatousch, here the pine nuts and the champions were missing, but still tasted very good. when the main food came, it was unfortunately already almost cold! tasteful but still very good. the dessert (muhallabiya) was tasty, but the large pieces of fruit (half disc ananas, half disc kaki) are barely divisible with the spoon and the kiwi had a stunk! I would have been rolled out from the restaurant after three walks, here I was only saturated. overall it was a nice evening, but the prices are too high!
Great eating, great selection, the appetizers and the main dish were really great. we had chosen three single appetizers, an aubergine caviar cream, red beete salat and with rice filled wein leaves, with thin/flaches brot. as a main dish we had two times something with lamb, once with saffron sauce and once with an aioli to Syrian art and once the Al-Dar teller with various dips, chicken, lamb chopped, small sweet pastry and a kind of leafy roll filled with lamb and at the same time salar. I have to mention, I really don't like a lamb, I haven't eaten for years, and I've got to go back and try everything, and what should I say, I'm going to be a lamb fan: the only thing I personally didn't find so great was the red bee salate, that was a bit boring with a few salat leaves, pine nuts and the red bee just in big cubes. all in all but a super load with one, as I find top service, very friendly, attentive staff. Price performance I found absolutely in order, lamm now costs a little more, the appetizers moved between 6-7€ per teller and the main dishes were between 17-22€, which I found absolutely appropriate on the basis of the portions and the meat.
