What Donna likes about The Eagle:
Lovely country pub warm and welcoming, we stopped off on our way home and had 2 ploughman’s and a portion of chips. The staff were polite and friendly and told us the entertainment came for free. It was a lovely spot to stop made we wish we had a pub like that at home View all feedback. What nannyvivien doesn't like about The Eagle:
I must warn you to steer clear of this restaurant. The welcome is lacking, the service is subpar, and the food is disappointing. We spent £40 and regretted it - my ham, egg, and chips and my wife's scampi and chips tasted like they were made with low-quality ingredients. It's a shame that this place remains open when there are so many better options out there. I urge you to spend your money at a place that values you... View all feedback.

read moreThe Eagle offers a mixed experience, with customers praising the hearty pie and dessert but warning against a lack of allergy information and rude owner. The pub's ambiance and events space receive high marks, with guests appreciating the accommodating staff and cozy atmosphere. The food quality varies, with some finding issues in overcooked dishes. However, the overall friendly service and traditional decor make The Eagle a recommended spot for a casual meal or special event, despite some inconsistencies in the dining experience.
