"Everytime I go here I get a parfait, devour it in 5 or 10 minutes and spend the rest of the day wondering if I will every feel hungry again. If you have one of these at noon it probably won't be until around 9-10pm that you crave food once more. This isn't a complaint. It's kind of a feature. If you like feeling agonizingly full. But they have a large menu so if youre not into that just get a scoop or two of their other offerings. But if you want decadent, have a parfait. It offers all the trappings of chain ice cream parlors except richer, more flavorful and more filling. So yeah, I like Giffords."

"Cool vibes greet you when you step inside. With the help of Manager Michael, we crafted a sandwich consisting of homemade hummus, guacamole and tomatoes, served on a good rye, and pressed on the panini grill. This sandwich is a keeper, and we'll be back for more Forward to August 2023, and we returned for a delicious sandwich with temphe, avocado, tomato, onion, and hummus on foccacia bread. "Phoned in a pickup order, and the staffer on the other end did NOT want to deal with me, kept asking is that all? I was ordering for more than myself so no lady, please just take my order and stop making me feel awkward about ordering more than one item. I really wanted to just cancel the order but my friend said these folks don 't get paid enough to care. So I cross my fingers that the cooks feel differently. Then we get there and the place is nearly empty... wait til I get home and find out why. NO RICE AND BEANS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am from Texas and I guess Maine did not get the Mexican memo y 'all need to serve rice and beans with meals. How am I meant to pay over $10 for a plate and not get these extremely normal and expected sides? Half the food was cold, especially the enchilada. I 'm used to eating enchiladas last because of how piping hot they are, well at Pepino 's they are served cold EW. My friend did not end up eating the island tacos because gross. The avocado salsa is mislabeled, it 's not a salsa. The chips were decent, the side salsas, which I am shocked that they didn 't charge me extra for, were decent, but if the food is meh, then salsa can only cover up so much sadness. Salsa is meant to enhance the food, not act as the Wizard of Oz. Also, no amount of medical marijuana could make this food taste better, as I put in the good ole college try. After the meal, I am sad to report that I wasted money on this meal, as I could have found a cheaper, similar tasting option in the freezer section of Hannafords. I can only hope that y 'all do some investment research and get the staff more customer service training. Best wishes and adios!"

"Visited October 2021 This place was friggin awesome as a visit on our vacation. I can 't say enough praise about the customer service here. Easy to get a table outside too. My wife and I really enjoyed the general atmosphere, and the walking path along the river. The beer 's were really good as well. My favorite was the Black Widow. Did end up grabbing some of the food as well. The vegetarian options were solid. Not 'here is your sad salad ' either, but good fries and tofu. If we lived locally, this would easily be a place we 'd visit regularly."
