"We were here aS a post cruise stay for 3 nights. We had previously read some pretty negative reviews and were not looking forward to him. To our surprise it was amazing. Everything was perfect. The food, the hotel staff who worked so hard to ensure that guests had everything they wanted, including drinks on the beach. The whirlpool on the balcony was beautiful. We wanted to stay longer"

"Our entire experience here was 5 star. From the gorgeous food to the amazing staff!. I want to thank John, for being a joy and a real treasure, Jennifer, for being so sweet and wonderful, Deborah, Donna, Tashara, Deshawn for being attentive and beautiful. Also, Jackie- Jackie we adore you. And Cato is adorable gorgeous. All of the staff here made us feel so happy. The room was amazing, the food was outstanding, the service was five star!!! My experience at Butterfly was perfect and there were absolutely no faults. The staff here are a huge asset to Butterfly and I would recommend anybody to come and stay here. The beach is beautiful! We will CERTAINLY be back."

"My favourite place on the island! The staff are superb, the atmosphere and music is brilliant, the menu is varied and excellent, and the whole place has such a great vibe what’s not to like! They offer a package which includes use of the beach etc, but I can only comment on the restaurant area. The waiting staff are brilliant, being always on hand on proactively getting drinks when needed. They keep checking up throughout your visit without being intrusive, but equally always there when needed. The menu is huge, with a great range of snacks, sides and meals. The portion sizes aren’t small so getting a filling meal is easy and everything I tasted was fantastic cooked and presented well with great flavours. While it’s not hard to work out, it’s nice for the menu to display both US and Barbados Dollars next to each item and in general the prices are normal and reasonable for the island. It’s a colourful environment, with a great atmosphere, and I could easily spend a whole day here and can do nothing more than recommend great place!"

"My husband and I stopped at the Vegan Cottage for lunch, and regretted not stopping by earlier during our holiday in Barbados. It was not long after we walked in and seated ourselves that the owner herself, Augustina, warmly greeted us, asked questions regarding our food preferences, and followed up by bringing us each a plate with a surprising variety of local, well-seasoned, vegan food. From pasta, to homemade patties, lentils, rice, garbanzo beans, couscous, a bit of salad with fruit, and even a plantain, her plates offer a great variety with lots of local-inspired dishes and flavors to try. Overall, the portion sizes were good, the prices were about 25BBDs a person, which included a muffin for dessert, and a delicious mango fruit drink, and the service and hospitality were excellent. It was our first time at her Vegan Cottage, but Augustina made us feel like family. Her place is on Google maps, so download the offline Barbados Google map, so next time you're in the area, you can be sure to call in advance, and definitely stop by and see her."

"I am here twice now and I love it absolutely! they are based on the corner of the grill place on the side of the road with a few other food providers, so if they travel in a group, there will be something for everyone. the opening hours/days vary, so follow them on instagram to check if they are open on the day they want it. I have brought some of them if I have a beach day and it was perfect. there are so many cheap places in holetown, but apple crate is brilliant because the locals eat there and its much more affordable. they have rotis and burgers etc. on the menu, but every day they have a special and, trust me, that is special what they want! these gals know what they do! I had the salad/Pikkle bowl with soy sauces and it was so refreshing and healthy and also, above all, filling! They are portions are a good size so that a meal per person is perfect. they also have all juices and will do whatever they want, so if they don't exactly see what they want on the menu, then they will whip up what they want for them. highly recommended to go to the apple crate when they are in holetown, only on the road of limegrove, past the fruit / kokosnuss seller."
