our first time and do not define the last thing a little jewel this place is. with its quintessential layout and decor so that for intimate peaceful meeting it is perfect. we have eaten on a weekday lunch, but the full carvery was in our service, which had an excellent choice, the meat was so tender, it melted in mouth. after a beautiful part of the old fashion house made treacle sponge, none of these tiny parts heat... Our last visit March 2022 was fantastic, we always rated you as the best carvery. Unfortunately this time we were dissapointed, the roast potatoes were pale and dry, lacking freshness. It just wasn't the standard we expected or certainly been served before. Had to wait in the car when cold as we found you don't open the door until last minute the exact time our table was booked. The rather large woman with coloured hair is just an awful person. If she wishes to work in hospitality, she should probably consider working on how she speaks...
