"Always feel welcome here and staff are lovely. It's clean and comfortable, but a bit dated, like having an Indian at your grandma's, but that kind of adds to its charm. Food comes quickly and everyone has always enjoyed it. I had Nawabi Special Duck which is thick and creamy and very mild, but could do with a little more flavour (although maybe perfect for kids? . Also if you get poppadoms and pickle tray you don't get the minty one unless you ask. Everywhere is different though, so it's not a bad thing. Would definitely go back and try something else."

"After hearing such great reviews we was really looking forward to trying this place. We travelled nearly half an hour to get there in the car. From the moment we walked in we could tell there would be a time issue. We was a table of 2 and was sat in the foyer for around 10 minutes before we was taken to our booked table. 10 minutes isn't long if the restaurant was full but there was plenty of tables available. While waiting we wasn't offered a drink or spoken to once. Once we got to our table we was served drinks promptly and given menus and that was where the service ended. After 45 minutes of waiting, we still hadn't been asked our order. We then was asked if we would like another drink, we said no, eventually we was asked to give our order. I didn't make a fuss, I simply explained how long we had been waiting and said we would like to leave and go somewhere else. They asked why and after explaining they gave us the drinks on the house and said ok. I cannot comment on the food but it did smell good. On the service, I think that was what let them down, no-one explained on arrival that they were under pressure and that food would take a while. They wasn't under staffed, there was plenty of people serving drinks but none came to us to ask us or even made eye contact with us. So in my opinion, the only people that would have enjoyed the evening would have been people that was there for the night and drinking plenty and not bothered by how long they was there for. This was not a luxury we had as one was driving."

"Booked here for a meal (17 guys) After the meal I was told off for vaping in a very abrupt manner(no signs up) I was in a separate area so only myself there and when told was apologetic but was followed up with a comment that 's why we have outside the person was only in their 20 's and very unpleasant. "Booked Sunday lunch for two The food was excellent Service at the beginning was super but then dropped off after the meal was served Just a small niggle knowing it could have been so much better Being asked if we needed anything like another drink and finished plates cleared away we sat looking at empty plates for a long time. The table next to ours had to go to the bar to get a drink. Not major but needs addressing. Most important part is the food which was very tasty piping hot We both had the set Sunday lunch One beef which was succulent served pink, mine was turkey which was just as good with a pig in blanket and stuffing. Both served with cream and roast potatoes, baby glazed carrot mixed greens and a wicked cauliflower cheese and delicious gravy. There are other options on the menu. We finished off with a scrumpy desert of sticky toffee pudding with raisin ice cream home made brandy snap and a puree of something, not sure of what possibly raisin or date. All of the meal was very good We recommend you try it for yourself. "Lovley home cooked good , always something nice on the menu , comfy seating inside and plenty of space outside with heaters to each table , plenty of drinks to choose from , also a cheeky hot chocolate , a great family run pub always welcoming"
