excellent eating and personal. we had a family come together and enjoyed the very cheap festive 3-course lunch. (the only mistake I found was the mulled wine trifle a strange, tasteful gel with hard nuts on the floor and saw above missed the sponge fingers, obst and custard! would definitely recommend and return read more.

A brisk walk out of Brighouse and you come to this oasis. What a gem. Real ale without the frills. Well kept range of beers that should satifsy most people.

Finest ale house in the area. Very friendly as walkers, bikers, kids and dogs are all welcome. If you like real ale this is the place for you.

"Visited for friends birthday treat. Fab food as always, but when I went to pay was charged for tea and coffee top-up! First for me.. .and my friend to be charged anywhere for a topup of tea and/or coffee with an afternoon tea which somewhat...spoiled experience. "Disappointing. The menu was very small and when we arrived at 20.30 on Saturday some of the dishes were not available so not much choice left. One of us was coeliac and only a few dishes were available for them so even less choice. We asked for two small beers. Were told that they only had two left and then no more. And the beers served to us were not small but 500ml. We would have only asked for one and shared had we been properly advised. Then ordered wine from the wine list but our choice was not available and again we were not advised but brought a substitute that was not the same. The dining area is very small and our table meant that one of us was looking at a wall and bookshelf so not the best atmospheric experience either. Getting to the very small toilet is a challenge and not a good experience when you arrive. Therefore we will not be returning. There are many better restaurants in Leeds."
