I visited Vegan Food Pimp when it was located at the Marlborough Pub, and I had a fantastic experience. The portions were quite generous, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. It was also a treat to enjoy a Sunday roast! I'm excited to try it at the new location. What User doesn't like about Vegan Food Pimp:
They require a deposit and maintain communication until a few weeks before the event, after which they become unresponsive. Getting a refund is nearly impossible, and they only offer apologies after the complaints arise. View all feedback.
February 2018 update: VFP has taken it the next level at the Saint George 's Inn! We went there for international Pancake day and were blown away by the options and creativity. Couldn 't skip the Mac 'n cheese even though we ordered 4 big pancakes can 't wait to get back and try the rest of the menu! Had our first roast with the Vegan Food Pimp this Sunday. Absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was creative and the portions were generous. Make sure you come hungry. Thanks VFP : Updated from previous review on 2017 01 17
Fantastic food, great service in a friendly place. Loved the roast and many other dishes. Recently enjoyed their Vegan Kebab
Wonderful service, everyone was so friendly to me. The Sunday roast is really delicious too. Would recommend.
Unfortunately we did not see the terrible reviews of Lynn (vegan food pimp) until we had already sent their half of the agreed amount for catering for our wedding in Nov 2022. We have announced a few months before, but we are now going to the right and have just applied for a court judgment against them for this money. FYI we (and I am sure everyone is here) are good in our law to get all our money back. Since no contractual terms were agreed or agreed upon in cancellations, we had 12 months and 14 days to cancel from the day after the contract (i.e. when we first booked at Vegan Food Pimp). As we have canceled before this expiry date, we were within our statutory window to get the transferred money back minus the proven and reasonable costs. This falls under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 within the services to pay according to reasonable price for a service. Do not give up, but best to avoid this low life at all costs! Do not use Vegan Food Pimps/Lynn Nicholson! She's a complete fraud! She agreed to pay us a refund and ignored us now and has removed all the negative reviews here. I spoke to other couples who had the same (some had much worse) experience with her. Here is a summary of the Shambles of a day we have experienced with Lynn: ignore us and the venues emails that lead up to the day to turn 2 hours late with no personnel serving burned food serving people who were allergic to certain foods, the exact foods, for example allergies to onions and they served them to find an onion disguised to send a Facebook post a day before trying to find out. The staff was rude and didn't know what they were doing. You went out because everything was such a complete mess. My bridesmaids had to serve champagne, because she didn't have enough staff and she was rude all day. She served pink pasta that we had never mentioned, tried or asked! Serving dreadfully cooked vegetables we had specifically asked not to have. My husband left most of his meals, it was so bad. She agreed to pay us a 25% refund because none of us wanted to go through the small patent court. At over £6,000 for food, I expected a much better experience. Since then, she has changed her email address 3 times, agreed to pay us our refund 5 times by a certain date (yes, we have not received anything yet) and repeatedly ignored us. I have now reported them to trading standards and unfortunately it looks like we have to go down the courts. Not to be happy, especially considering how she ruined our day. Do not fall for their ruse, pretend to love animals and take care of your wedding. She won't.
