First time I had ever had mussels and they were delicious. More than I could actually eat, in a big casserole type container. Chips too. Excellent service, beautiful venue, really good value. I will go back. View all feedback.
What diegomR7570PD doesn't like about Palm Court:
Nice little venue. Had some lunch and a few drinks and watched the lionesses lose to Spain. Food was ok and probably what you can expect in a tourist hot spot like this. Nice setting though and great views. View all feedback.
Palm court is a restaurant located on brighton pier. the pier is the city dock that has been a fun park with play, slot machines and a few places to eat. there is no entry fee for the entrance of the docks. there they can eat seafood, fish, traditional British fish and chips, which are served with tasty fruits, vinegar on the hairdryer, and a cup of tea. the fish and chips cost in the usually less than 10 pfunds, although it depends on the size of the part and also on the type of fish. sometimes the large portions are enough for two adult. during the summer months they cannot reserve a table, but the rest of the year can be booked for family events, weddings and birthdays.
I paid £20 for fish and chips and it was terrible. The chips were served in a small cup with the scraps at the bottom, and the fish was mostly batter with very little actual fish inside. Additionally, the coffee I ordered was consistently cold. I ended up getting a refund and leaving the restaurant.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. The place was dingy and dirty. The table was sticky. We both ordered fish and chips, and it was disgusting. The fish was inedible mushy on the top and slimy on the bottom. The tartare sauce came in a paper cup the size of a thimble. The only thing edible was the chips. However, we sent the whole terrible mess back to the kitchen. The very young staff were polite and tried their best, but the place as a whole was appalling. If this is their best after a renovation, it's pretty sad. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
