"We went for my husbands birthday as his parents were down from London. We thought we would treat ourselves. Whilst the food was good, it was massively overpriced, especially the scallops- £16 for three lonely scallops in a shell plate. Again, the main corses were nice but I have had the same elsewhere, better and more reasonably priced. The service was good but we won’t be going back as there are far better options, at far better value,in the local area."

"Booked a table on Wednesday 8th November for 2 people, booking was accepted and confirmed. Member of staff called me on Friday 10th November to ask if we wanted to cancel booking as they had a table of 15 and a table of 20 booked and as our booking was only for 2 we would be served after the larger bookings and told we would have to wait a long time for our food. We cancelled, as a booking for 2 is obviously not important to the railway inn management team, having been there several times with several friends and live local I will no longer give them my custom, so I hope the larger bookings will be returning customers as I and my friends will not. Very poor customer service!!!"

"Visited yesterday and the staff were very knowledgable allowing us to buy our takeaway fish and chips from the regular restaurant. (We were pointed in the direction of the restaurant by the takeaway staff) Fish was fresh and tasted amazing and would definitely recommend"

"Ordered one Kofte kebab, two doner meat burgers, fries and onion rings. Food came very quick, was piping hot, and was even given a free cheesy pizza. Driver was very polite and accepted card at the door. 10/10 would recommend!"

"Ordered a home delivery Two large kebabs with one chips.. We were astounded at the large size. Chips were proper cooked chips. Very pleased and delivered on time. Thank you very nice to have found somewhere else to buy a takeaway. Will be back."

"Family meal and as the only Indian restaurant in Paignton there is anywhere else to go. Slight smell of fish/mould as you walk in but we soon got use to it. Starters were lovely except the Lamb Boti which wasn’t up to its usual standard. Our mains all tasted lovely, not very hot (heat) which always surprises me with any restaurant! Rices and nan bread were amazing. One thing to point out, get some CIF cleaner on the doors in the toilets and make them clean! It is the little details that make the difference…."

"We were highly recommended this restaurant at the weekend and were definitely not disappointed. Family run we were given a very warm welcome when we arrived. There’s a great selection of food. We started with a fantastic range of starters to share which were all incredibly tasty including definitely the best onion bhajis I’ve ever tasted. To follow I had a king prawn curry which again was exceptional. We can’t wait to go back!"
