Big Wong has an overall net positive of a dining experience. While the food here is unrivaled in Chinatown, daresay New York, its service really leaves a lot to be desired. Screaming at one another amongst the staff brings down the enjoyment of my amazing food, but I’ll take it. If you’re looking for a great restaurant, come here, and maybe bring some noise cancellation headphones! View all feedback.
What Simon Legros bdambreville doesn't like about Big Wong:
Run awayzzzzzzzzzz!!! Poor hygiene (the toilet bowls are strewn with droppings, the floor sticks and the chef spits on the floor) The dishes are just horrible (I had to recommend another one because the one I chose was inedible) To top it off, it’s expensive: they force you to pay 15% tips directly on the ticket taxes and beer at 8 dollars… Obviously only payable in cash to be collected in the ATM present in the rest... Excellent food and very cheap. It's very worth knowing.
Get the roast (Peking) duck, it's fall apart tender. Also adored the dumpling soup, and the eggplant with shrimp.
Food was good But the service was terrible. Rude waitress that did do anything but bring the food. Gave us the check party of four with 20% tip added in . Asked manager about it and he said “we add in the tip and some times and other times we don’t.“ Not stated any where in restaurant or menu. How can you just add tip for some people and not all. Don’t eat in, but maybe do takeout or go next store to Ming Wong. Bathrooms are also disgusting. This place needs a remodel.
It's a pretty tasty restaurant. You can eat Tsingtao and Chinese food neatly.
