A very cozy cafe with delicious food and pretty good coffee! This time I ordered cod meatballs, smoked salmon toast, cucumber hummus toast and iced latte. The cod meat balls are rich and delicious, the smoked salmon toast is rich and delicious, and the spiced hummus is creamy and fragrant! I have been to Cafe Gitane a handful of times, and have typically loved it, but I was a bit disappointed most recently. I ordered the couscous with chicken, which was masssively overcooked and did not taste freshly cooked. I’ll go back, as I hope this was an aberration, because it’s been a solid spot in the past.
