Had a great experience at Dutch Freds before catching a broadway show. Love the ambiance of this bar with great food! The only thing was that it was a Tuesday evening and the bar does not take reservations. We called when we arrived into Penn Station and they said they had seating which we were about 15 minutes away but by the time we arrived, there was no more seating but we opted to dine at the bar. Disappointed in the cocktails. Ordered two, a stirred drink and a shaken drink, and both were barely colder than room temp. The vibe and presentation are lovely, but a cocktail bar must get cocktail basics right. It feels like a fancy-looking steakhouse where the steak is never cooked to the desired doneness.
