Best empanadas in Brooklyn, for real. Kimpanadas is must-stop if you’re in the Cobble Hill/Carroll Gardens/Boerum Hill area. Try the lunch specials; you’re lucky if you can get the Beef Madura or chicken Mozz. Kim planned a special catering menu for a recent company event for 25+, even GF BBQ. Rave reviews from everyone. The Cherry on top (literally): dessert sampler platter. View all feedback.

Update June ‘22: stopped back by after a year, and these could not be more different. Great fillings, crunchy pastry, all around improvement. Smith St. brick and mortar: Had the Thanksgiving, Squash, and one of the chicken varieties. The fillings were fine, if uneven. But the actual empanada pastry was awful. Almost raw in some spots. Dry enough that they actually squeaked and cracked in my mouth in other places. View all feedback.
