Amazing omakase! Super full with classic line. Their fish are super thick and fresh, elegant, and well designed!!! Highly higly recommended. It’s a very small and private space with the chef’s table view. Polite staff and chef View all feedback.
What Matt L doesn't like about Sushi Kaito:
Terrible faux Omakase. Same Chinese owners of sushi yasaka across the street. the presentation, service and atmosphere was incredibly cheap and careless. Everything is served on plastic bowls and spoons-hardly what you'd expect for $150pp- hand wipes and healing bowl of pickled ginger left on the table the entire meal. None of the staff is Japanese and the food is just so faux. As if someone snuck into a 5 star estab... View all feedback.
Delicious inexpensive omakase ! , fresh fish, satisfactory sake selection, GREAT vibe, and friendly service. Only thing that is missing is a tiny bit more yuzu flavor in each bite;
OMG! We just had the best sushi that we’ve had in a loooonnnggg time. We started with the regular omakase and after the first bite had to upgrade to the premium. They had to roll us out but so worth it.

Sorry it took me so long to leave a review. for the price my absolute favorite sushi bar in NYC. always fresh delicious fish and attentive friendly service.
An outstanding omakase experience in this small and well-run place. Service was polite but not overbearing. The chef knew what he was doing. The owner came over afterwards and we chatted a bit. Again, nothing but good vibes. The food? Yes. I'd say for such high quality, this is an amazing deal in NYC.
