I chose to try this eatery for the first time after driving by it multiple times. I've tried a lot of various steakhouses in NYC, and this one did not dissapoint. Excellent food and service were provided. The oysters were new. The filet mignon was grilled to medium-rare perfection. Desert was tasty. The restaurant had a typical New York steakhouse atmosphere. I'll return at some point! View all feedback.
What Laura C doesn't like about The Room:
Advertised as closing at 1am. It’s 1224am. Couldn’t get a drink and POLITELY ask to use the restroom if I grabbed a drink…. But no… just 6 coworkers hanging around the bar telling me “sorry we’re closed” … maybe lock the doors next time? It’s NYC. On a Friday night. Stay safe! View all feedback.
This is a pub-type venue… you'd call it a gastropub in the UK. It gets very noisy and crowded, but many people like that.
Almost missed this. Lovely for a drink and snack in the evening.
