Margan Winery And - BROKE

Several years ago, I visited Margan for a wine tasting, but never had the chance to dine at their restaurant. This weekend, we enjoyed a delightful five-course lunch at Margan on their patio, overlooking the scenic vineyards and farm where their fresh ingredients come from. The food at Margan Restaurant was delicious, with a strong emphasis on vegetables sourced from their own garden. It was comforting to know that the artichokes, asparagus, and fennel we were enjoying were grown just steps away. The standout memory of our experience at Margan was the exceptional service. Brittany took excellent care of us during lunch, crafting mandarin cocktails and sharing captivating stories from the vineyard. The hospitality at Margan truly stood out, and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

We had an incredible experience at this restaurant! We tried the reserve tasting with the Ploughman's platter and it was absolutely delicious. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, taking the time to chat with us about the wines, the food, and everything in between. Our day was fantastic from start to finish.

In December 2021, my party and I dined at Margan Restaurant. We opted for the 5-course tasting menu, which highlights the restaurant's farm-to-table ethos and their own wine selection. The service was excellent and friendly, contributing to a wonderful dining experience overall.

We took a tour with lunch. It was a beautiful winery and Gabby was a nice guide. Lunch was pretty good food-wise. But for a degustation meal, the pace of food serving could be improved. I was getting bored sitting down waiting. 5 courses given its portions shouldn’t have taken 2.5 hours. Chair was getting a bit uncomfortable towards the latter half. Hope these could be improved but overall good experience.

It was a delightful experience I had here at Margan, the service was warm and welcoming, the dinning environment was brilliant and most importantly I was completely blown away by the wonderful food served. I would say this is a must have experience when you visit Hunter Valley, you won't regret it.
