we've eaten here a lot, but not for a time. I'm so glad they survived to reopen. eating was always great and this time it wasn't different. the menu seems to have been updated a bit and I don't think it's a pad prik before. that was great with garnels and not tempered by the cocos milk add some restaurants. the service was really good. we'll be back soon. What User doesn't like about King I:
the whole place was full of fruit flies. in the toilets, in our beer, crawl on the food. the restaurant should not be opened in such a condition. what was lazy? my man asked her to solve it, but nothing happened. disgusting and. a health risk. View all feedback.
Our favourite local Thai. Good food, nice people, utterly reliable. Our go to when we want to celebrate something or cheer ourselves us. We had their starter joint platter, as good as ever. Then Him Indoors has melt in your mouth beef, beautifully cooked, with...rice and I pushed the boat out in what I call Tom Yam and a sea food salad. The white fish in the sea food salad was exquisite, and I loved it all. What to have next time fish, or beef I just don’t know. Because there will be a next time. Oh, and when you book your track and trace details are taken. V sensible. Tables well spaced, Be prepared to wait a little, because their staffing is not as high as it used to be, understandably. Also, book ahead. It was deservedly) thriving, no room unless you’d booked, though running a takeaway service as usual. Good luck to them: they deserve it.
Hi, I have been to this local quirky Thai about half a dozen times. Although we do like their food very much we have noticed in our last couple of visits that the portion sizes are getting smaller and smaller. We nearly always order the...same with my wife. 2 thai green curries and one sticky and one plain rice. We try different starters and all are mostly ok. The last time we visited we each had 5 bits of chicken in the curry. A very mean portion size. I wish I had taken a photo. We like supporting our local Elmers End/Beckenham restaurants but we will think twice about going there again. It is a shame.
Visited approximately 6 months ago, really enjoyed the food, very tasty and good portion sizes. Revisited recently but unfortunately I did not have the same experience. Service was very slow, portion sizes seem to be smaller, and I didn't enjoy the meal as much as...I did the first time round, I had exactly the same dishes on both visits.
For years we are here, tonight have brought one of my best friends to their birthday and not disappointed! thai is our favorite food and this little jewel hidden in the Elmers end is a joy to visit. the atmosphere is cozy and satisfied when what they enjoy, the decoration beautiful and the eating beautifully presented and delicious. the only thing I could possibly complain is that I could have done with a little more rice, but otherwise delicious and 5/5.
Visited this restaurant by chance as my friend and I were craving for Thai food. The restaurant is small. If you are looking for a great decor and excellent ambience then this is not the place for you. The food is good and tasty though....Service is slow as it’s just the owner who takes orders and brings the food to the table. I’ve been there twice. Learnt not to order sticky rice again as these are very hard and difficult to chew. Overall ok.
