What Mem B doesn't like about The Ramblers Rest:
We popped into what we thought was a pub, however, it's a resturant with a bar. Any heritage asset and any indication of a traditional pub is absent. There is no soft seating, snugs, open fire, soft furnishings. It is simply a dining room primarily designed for watching the numerous TV's on the wall with bright led lights. In all the years of living in this area, I finally visited this pub for Sunday lunch with our three sons. I’d heard some good reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The roast was very tasty without being piled high on the plate. Vegetables can often be bland but every item on the plate was full of flavour. The apple crumble was very wholesome and delicious.
