What Corrine W likes about Smokey Island Grille:
I tried Jamaican food at this restaurant with my visiting family who were staying uptown in the city. Instead of going to my usual spots in Brooklyn, we decided to give this place a try. The cooked food was good, although the cakes were not outstanding. The restaurant was clean, and we ended up staying to eat without regret. Overall, I would say it was good but not great. My husband mentioned that the fried plantains were stale. He said they tasted like they were refried from yesterday and sold today. They were the worst plantains he has ever had! View all feedback.
