Jake's Estd.1960 - Brookfield

Met family for a birthday dinner at Jake?s and am not sure why they have a 4.5 star rating. We didn't get more than 30 minutes after arrival drinks, although it wasn't busy. The bartender wouldn't look at us or make eye contact and served several others who came after us. The greeting was not interested in getting us drinks or a table. The manager entered and adapted us without reservation and our server was great. The appetizers (dashed onion and cheese curds) were so-so. Something happened to my dinner and it came a lot later than everyone else? The manager offered soup while I was waiting, then credited us as it was so late. When it arrived, it was super salty. The Brussel shoots were very good!

All in all, Jake's was good. drinks were good; Steaks were good and Dessert. No problems with the staff. Charge for steak sauce? Will not be back for this endorsement, but will go to Coopers Hawk.

Pricey, but worth the splurge. Excellent service, Top 5 steaks I've ever had, Jake's New Fashioned Cocktail was fantastic and finished with a perfect couch.

We moved in and the parking lot was full. We didn't think we'd get a table, but we thought we'd take our chances. The atmosphere was lively, but we could find a place in the bar for two adults and a child. The bartender was so patient and sweet. We asked for a table outside and the host could sit us within 15 minutes. The staff was clearly so busy, but nevertheless they were attentive and professional. It started to rain shortly after we had set ourselves, but we were pretty well covered so we decided to stay outside. Staff have regularly reviewed us to ensure that we have not regretted this decision. I ordered the market fish that was an almond-brown salmon with pesto, and my husband ordered the duck. Unfortunately, my salmon was very overcooked, which led to a dry and crumbling duck. The duck was very good. I also enjoyed my wedge salad, made with high-quality ingredients. My nephew had no complaints about the children's mac cheese or the complementary Sundae that came with his meal. Despite not crazy about eating, the staff could not have been better. I'd come back!

Incredible supper club. My food here was fantastic. The steak was supremely tender and flavorful, the potatoes perfectly seasoned and cooked, yet somehow the brussels sprouts and asparagus stole the show as those vegetables tasted absolutely incredible as prepared. Definitely among the plates of food I have ever received. Our server was well-timed and quite friendly. All in all, the experience was one in which I wish I could remain for eternity.
