Tower At Houstoun House - Broxburn

The restaurant was cold, even though we were next to the radiator. One side of me was frozen. The food was excellent, but not much from choice. no salad veg on both nights due to the suppliers problems. I really fought with the choice of the main, but had an excellent Sirloin Steak both nights and would like a salmon option. In the second night we were next to an extremely loud group of women who was a bit repulsive. Even after we had ordered, we heard that the ladies ask for the bar food menu what would have been ideal for me. A very nice dinner with excellent service staff

Place was beautiful, beautiful place. The staff was friendly, but I had a problem with my main course letting one of the servers know and she didn't come back to talk to me. She was in and out of the room several times, after about 20 minutes another server came to collect our records. Explained my problem and the fact that no one came back, she said they talked to Koch! They compensated the problem by removing the cost of the starter, but the feeling it should really have been the main course that was calculated

Afternoon tea was excellent and the staff were lovely and very attentive. Gluten free scones were delicious and the sandwich fillings were very tasty. Will be back.

The food was delicious, we had to ask about our sausage rolls which were forgotten but the staff were lovely. Festive afternoon tea didn’t have all the special flavours we expected but it did say subject to change. We were sitting in the foyer which was nice but a wee bit chilly.

Festive Christmas menu. The food and service were excellent. Could have been a bit more Christmas ambiance music and a Christmas tree) Over all we had a lovely time and would recommend a Christmas meal at Houstoun House Hotel.
