Cézar - Brugge

We love this place! The interior is easy and fresh but also cozy and homey. We took croquete and steak tartare. Both freshly made and delicious. The staff is very friendly and speaks many languages. Deserts are great. For 2 beer 2 deserts, water and 2 main dishes we paid in total around 80 euro

Although the menu seems to be quite exclusive, the food is in fact superb well presented and and very flavoursome! It is however best to make a reservation because this is extremely buy and popular.

We had a lovely dinner there as a couple for our first night in Bruges. The shrimp croquettes were really nice although their presentation was lacking a bit. Then we had an Aberdeen steak with a delicious pepper sauce the best I ever had, and a steak tartare with a special secret sauce that was also amazing. Desert was a good crême brûlee for the two of us. Staff was friendly.

We had a lovely meal here. A warm welcome, help with the menu. But what stands out is the careful attention to each dish. Both my husband and I found our selections to be delicious, and the price quite good. This is off the beaten trail a bit, but well worth seaking out. As for the negative reviews? I think Americans (I am one) are often in too much of a hurry at mealtime. I find Europeans to be more relaxed. Try it!
