lovely pub with a beautiful view of the lake from the beer garden. Very cosy and quaint interior with lots of seating. Great staff and good clean beer. The breakfasts are lovely, they also do a breakfast challenge plate which most can't do as its huge! Don't take my word for it, next time your in the vicinity check it out for yourself. Not going to visit here again. Visited last month before the kitchen closed for poor hygiene and the food was absolutely disgusting. And the pub has gone completely downhill since it had changed hands View all feedback.

Liked it, dog friendly, nice old pub. Not much choice for bitter drinkers (John Smith's but decent Guinness. Would return if I was in the area.

"Visiting my home town after 40 years away and a nice surprise to see things I still recognised as well as things new. Thaidee was one of the new things and what a nice surprise. The food was excellent, with wonderful flavours and fresh ingredients. I settled for a change cken and coconut flavoured soup for a starter followed by a green curry. Both perfectly cooked and very tasty. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and great company answering questions about the food and listening to my reminiscing about the town I left in the 1980s. The restaurant also serves take away food, but I will be returning to eat at their tables.
