"This place was recommended to us by friends who accompanied us to the restaurant. On our first visit there were eight of us. The food was so good, the prices reasonable and service so friendly that we came back the following evening. On our second...visit there was only six of us and even though they had less staff on than the previous evening and the restaurant was full, the service was very still very friendly. Understandably we waited a bit longer for our dishes on the second evening but this did not adversely impact on the enjoyment of the evening. The menu had two special degustation menus, one for $35 per person for seven dishes, including miso soup and dessert, plus Japanese tea and a second for $55 per person for nine dishes, including miso soup and dessert, plus Japanese tea. On both occasions we chose dishes from the quite extensive a la carte menu, that included a good number of noodle, sashimi and sushi options. We shared a number of different starters and entrees including, sashimi, edamame, Dengaku eggplant, Pork Gyoza, sushi rolls, Octopus balls and Aburi scallops. All good. We each had our own main. I chose the Kakuni (slow cooked pork belly) on the first evening and the Wagyu beef Teriyaki on the second night. Both of these dishes were fairly large and came with rice and a small salad. We brought our own wine corkage was $2 00 per person. Service as previously stated was vey friendly. Recommended."
