Nice little French brasserie. We stumbled about it because we wanted to eat dinner a bit earlier than it is normal in BA (many places do not open up until 8:00 and have gone to 9) and this bistro is most open when not all of the day. Food was decent, but not perfect, the soup was slightly seasoned. But the staff was delightful and the owner/manager was very helpful when one of our secondary dishes awol. A good neighborhood.
It was such a warm day that we decided to come into the shade for just a cold drink. The cold drink was also a delicious meal. The food looked so good that we couldn't resist eating there. We had a little problem with our main meal, but it was immediately treated and it tasted as fantastic as it looked.
A fabulous find and a escape from the bustle from the San Telmo market. Enjoy a Trilogia de Entradas and G
This is our 4th trip to Buenos Aires in the last 10 years. On every trip we've managed to visit Brasserie Petanque and we've never been disappointed. The food has always been of the highest quality. I've recommended several friends to try it and they were also very impressed. Personally I always order the Bondiola of pork. A slow cooked piece of pork that is drenched in a mixture of balsamic and honey about 30 minutes before the end of cooking. It's absolutely delicious. I've tried cooking this at home quite a few times but it never tastes as good as the Petanque version. Petanque is a lovely restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. My thanks to Pascal and his team for making our evenings spent here so memorable.
