"My Husband and I visited this wonderful little place in Surfers Paradise,what a hidden Gem The food was excellent, the service was outstanding our host was Nick very professional young man so attentive and very charming explaing in detail the dishes we were going to have. The menu is fresh and innovating catering for vegetarians. The ambiance very quirky reminisant of cafe/bars in Melbourne.We felt very special while we were there thankyou Black Coffee Lyrics for a wonderful dinning experience."

"A little gem of a find. The menu is based on share plate philosophy which is great for group dining. Our waitress was extremely good gave us terrific intellectual exchanges between dishes. Nice atmosphere, amazing dishes,perfect presentation very tempting desserts. The chef even visited our table which is always a great touch."

"Menu has absolutely no direction. For lunch ,Tapas maybe ok, but as Dinner venue lacks a quality menu. Food Starters 2 Scallops in pumpkin purée, bland in flavour no seasoning at all. Mussels a good serving, the Napoli sauce was like a can of Heinz tomato soup, not a rich Napoli sauce with body flavour, served with Bread which was hard dry. Tempura Prawns again good serving but very oily soggy batter. Arancini, dry rice balls with cheesy flavour, pesto very weak. Tacos, pulled pork, 2 good tacos with flavour, the pick of dinner. The share plates a weird selection, Duck. Quail. Gnocchi with blue cheese. Kangaroo. The sides a good selection of Vegetable dishes but nothing to match them with. Service inattentive, finished Drinks had to call over Staff for more Drinks. A disappointing Dining Experience."

"This restaurant has a great vibe, lively music and intimate atmosphere. We were undecided on the wine, and received some great advice which turned out well. The food was excellent. One suggestion- at the very bottom of the menu in very small print it says...4 vegan options with no detail. It would be great to have the details on the menu- our wonderful server had to go to the kitchen to ask. With Pepe's culinary expertise it would make such a difference to we vegans (we are a growing population) to have a few excellent choices in tantalising detail. [hidden link]"
