The coffee has an authentic flavor, and the menu is both interesting and diverse. I don't believe I've ever tasted anything like the rose-flavored items—they're absolutely delicious! The service is excellent, with very friendly staff, and everything is clean and efficiently managed. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Philz Coffee:
This used to be my favorite spot, but after not visiting for a long time, I found it lacking in personality and charm. The baristas seemed disengaged and generally appeared unhappy. My coffee took 20 minutes to arrive instead of the usual 5-7, and I really wished I had chosen a different place. It's truly disappointing to see that the Philz I loved is no longer there. The coffee should be plural, but was far too strong for it. otherwise everything was in order. I was asking for a coffee, but the girl turned me around. she gets a thick f
Ordered an iced mocha tesora. It was made and tasted fresh, extra mocha low sweetness as requested. Nothing outstanding about the service, but it was satisfactory. Wait wasn't too long, even with an event happening on Burlingame Ave. Clean and cozy setting with some indoor seating and a cute patio area out front. And love the to-go lids with the elevated spout for drinking, to avoid leaks, no need for a straw.
Avoid any expectations. Always. It was my first visit to Philz coffee and when I saw their menu, I thought for a long time about what I wanted to try because all the options looked tantalizing. Eventually, I opted for the cold ginger coffee (and yes, I know that spices look better when they are warmed up, but, based on the Philz menu, you are advised to try the cold version, which I did). It turned out that the cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves were floating among the ice cubes and didn't give the drink any of the gingerbread flavor you usually choose this drink for. I was a little frustrated, but was satisfied with a warm Poppy Lemon Slice, which I shared with my boyfriend because he was left negatively impressed with their burrito. That little thing with the paper stuck on it costs 7$, are you kidding? I can evaluate the concept of the place, the taste of the coffee, but I don't think I would prefer this place over others next time.
I don't remember the name of the drink but it was one specialty, with mocha in it. My Uber stopped there and I wanted a coffee in the area and to be honest there were so many coffee places around. Certainly, I had my doubts but regardless if you like the place or not, my coffee tasted great!!!
Yeah ok I think I just found my new favorite coffee place. Like here I was, happy to throw my money at Starbucks or Peets and call it good coffee. Haha to my old me! Yes I've seen the store when it first opened in Burlingame Ave and I thought, ok another coffee shop. But thanks to a co-worker of mine, I discovered Philz Coffee. My first order was their ever popular Iced Mint Mojito and it was yummy, sweet, fresh, with that minty flavor I love. OMG where have I been all this time? Apparently living under a rock. I've tried most of everything by now and I haven't found a single one I didn't like. I like how they break down the coffee blends and describe the flavor notes. So when I just want a little coffee taste, I'll get a medium blend with chocolate-y note like Philtered Soul or Julie's Ultimate, but when I really want to wake up, I'll get the darker blend like the nutty Jacob's Wonderbar. Or if I just want to have a little sweet pick me up, I'll get one of their featured creations like the Honey Haze or Iced Mint Mojito. Oh and if you order their coffee on DoorDash, they'll have it delivered w/ all the coffee cups nicely packed on a tray (sometimes even by a Dasher on a bike) and not a single drop spilled. So, so good!
