"I have been coming to Bay Area bagels, formerly house of bagels, for close to three decades, and while the customer service has gone progressively down hill, nothing was as bad as my experience today. They were out of half their flavors by 10:30am, and I ordered one bagel sandwich and one bagel with cream cheese and with only two orders ahead of mine it took close to twenty minutes. That wouldn't have necessarily been a problem if they were polite when asking for a timing update. When I asked the young lady up front if she could let me know how long until my order, she ignored me and then told me it was not her job. When I finally got my order, the bagels were cold, as if they'd been toasted and the forgotten. Zero out of five stars would be more appropriate."

"I've been to a few other locations and instantly become a fan of their creamy and unique flavors. I usually go for their limited edition flavors and it's usually pretty good. Def over priced but nice to indulge once in awhile. I got the red velvet this time around and it was spectacular. Not too sweet yet ultra creamy.Keep in mind when coming here that the service is not great. The servers weren't very patient with us as we were trying different flavors. They looked like they did not want to be there frankly. Other than the poor ambiance, I will most likely go back to another location to try their new flavors!"

"Came in on a busy Easter Sunday and decided to try something new. The beef hayashi om rice with a side of corn potage soup. Everything looked delicious. Sadly the rice was way too mushy (parts were starting to turn to pudding. I'm pretty sure it's not reheated rice. Maybe a bad rice cooker? I highly recommend that they use a scale 1cup of rice to 1 cup of water ratio. That's 1:1.2 ratio by weight.edit: everything else was very tasty. Katsu was breaded fried to perfection, 1st time trying the hayashi corn potage nicely seasoned.update: rice has been perfect the last 2 visits. so ?Parking: You can usually find free parking on the side streets."

"First of all. I can't believe I have not stopped in here earlier in my life. How could I miss this GEM. This is my second time coming here after yesterday because I wanted to try their breakfast and egg salad sandwich. YUM! Yes the fat kid is strong within. Yesterday I was walking through mission on my way back from the tailors. I always past this place paying no mind thinking it's just another sandwich shop. But then I smelled this delicious aroma coming from there. I was like WTF smells good! Went in to check it out. I was impressed with the layout and products they have in there. It was so clean and organized. Then I realized it's an Italian delicatessen shop. No wonder why. I LOVE Italian food. I swear I feel like I was an Italian in my previous life. The people was so nice and great customer service. Grabbed me (2x) Mikey Jessica to go. Killed both in the same day. Now I am back to grab breakfast and lunch. What's great is the price. I pay like $12+ for Roxie down the street. Dont get me wrong Roxie is good. But a good big sandwich for less is Awesome in my book. Will be coming here more often. Highly recommended!"
