If I understand the backstory, the chef/owner and his wife grew tired of the Toronto dining scene and rat race and opened up this small high-end restaurant

"This bakery /gift shop is wonderful. They sell strictly bundt cakes (smaller bundtlets and bundtinis in a delicious assortments of flavors. They also have an assortment of cake plates, candles, cake toppers etc. Each month a new flavor is featured along with the regular flavors and they always have a domed platter available to try out the featured flavor of the month. My favourites are chocolate chocolate chip (regular flavor) and December's feature of peppermint chocolate chip. Be sure to pick up a rewards card that gives you a free bundtlet after 12 purchases. Believe me once you try them you will be back. They also make great hostess or thank you gifts"

"Just had the miso soup, shrimp teriyaki and the crispy crunch roll, Very fresh and well presented. The roll came in eight large pieces and the shrimp, with fresh vegetables on top of rice drizzled in teriyaki sauce. I eat a ton and I left feeling more than satisfied. All of the staff were very friendly, I ll be eating There again. Perfect if you want quality sushi."

"We sat in the bar, which was surprisingly quiet compared to the main dining room. we would have liked to see some more options for dinner entrees. the bison osso buco was very good, but more food than I needed."

"We have been coming to Luk's Diner for years now. When we got to know, the place has been sold, we were very apprehensive about going there again. However, we can now safely say that all our concerns have been laid to rest. It was our third visit today with the new owner, Chef Sam, having taken over. Chef Sam is a very friendly guy and he goes out of the way to make your visit pleasant. His food, dare I say, even better! This place is a must for everyone looking to enjoy nice food with great service. You will feel right at home!"

"Friends from Serbia brought us some dried meats from here to help us understand the type of cuisine they grew up with. The meats were prepared in the "Hungarian" style with ample paprika and spices, and unlike some we have had elsewhere were not at all greasy. We're not normally spicy food eaters, but these meats were so good we went back on our own for more. Their baked goods are excellent, done in what we would describe as a Mediterranean style. A great place to buy appetizers, lunch foods and all sorts of items to tickle your tastebuds!"

"Friends have been talking about this bar for a long time, and I finally ended up going. The venue is chill, with a cool atmosphere. It's dark and feels dingy, but in a good way. The wall art is unique and gives you lots to look at during your visit. They have lots to offer for cocktails and beers and also have small snacks to munch on while you're there. The samosas were tasty. Overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend this place for before dinner drinks."
