I stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to try out the veg. samosa plate. I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and taste. I was expecting just two simple samosas with a side of sauce, but the dish was beautifully presented with a variety of sauces and was delicious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant as it offers authentic Indian cuisine. View all feedback.

I always try a new Indian restaurant that opens close to where I live. Having grown up in the North of England, you could say it's our national dish and the standards are really high. Sadly the food at Tasty Planet is not high quality Indian food. The rice pilau appears to be basmati rice with supermarket (yes supermarket) mixed carrots, corn and green beans. And it's very dry. The food was decent, but the prices are too high. It seems like they are trying to market their food as a luxury item. Normally, if you spend $20 on a Butter Chicken meal, it should come with rice. The fact that they charge $10 just for a side of rice is ridiculous. Luckily, I had rice at home so it wasn't a big deal for me, but based on my experience at other restaurants, it's not worth it. I will probably look for another restaurant to order from in the future. Additionally, they forgot to include my drink.
This is the best place to try the Fish Pakora. I have tried it at many other places where it is usually loaded with batter, but here it has a unique and light layer of batter. All of their dishes are of great quality and quantity, definitely worth the money.
What a fantastic restaurant! The food is exceptional, the staff are wonderful, and it is easily the best Indian cuisine I have had in a while. This place is perfect for a satisfying meal in Vancouver, with plenty of parking available.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The food was good, but the Dahi Bhalla could have been a bit sweeter. The Fish Pakora, Tandoori Chicken, and Amritsari Kulcha were particularly delicious. However, the mango lassi and mango shake were not cold enough and tasted too similar. The Rasmalai was just okay - it was runny and the texture was not impressive.
