had eat from here a couple of times visiting buxton from wales . nice to take with you!

we had squid and chips last night, and we need to say the quality of the fish was incredible, and the chips were something they remembered when they were young....

beautiful fish and chips cooked to order after a long day. 5 stars for good eating and after 8 o'clock in buxton open.

great eating, beautiful service and generous portions. highly recommended

Best chow mein in town and consistently good chips very quick service would recommend

"Just had dinner at Curry’s cottage at lover leap. Very cute little Indian restaurant. Atmosphere: very nice and romantic but people like me with eye sight issues might struggle due to dim lights (depends where you sit) Service: was nice and quick. Though server was not very social. He wasn’t rude but he didn’t smiled either. Not even once. Food: taste was amazing. Spot on. Portions: mains are more than enough for 1 person but portions are out of proportion. Had to order extra naan and portion of rice to finish mains (didn’t wanted to have a take away) so now I’m stuffed. Price: we ordered mix grill as starter, saag paneer (Spinach with cheese cubes) and Dali Gosht (lentils with lamb), 2 naan and 2 portion or pulao rice and paid £41.95. Overall experience was very nice and I will come back if I will visit stoney Middleton again."

"This cafe provides really excellent sandwiches and the soup was pretty good too. The bread is artisanal, provided by the attached bakery. The cake range was limited but I had a superb brownie and partner a very good ginger flapjack. The coffee was fine too (Americano). The service was top notch. The two staff on duty really wanted to please and did so. Nice friendly people. However. Nine quid for a sandwich is steep, no matter how good. I had the £2.50 soup and sand deal so I was set back £11.50. Yes, a small amount of nicely dressed salad came with, but the veg crisps were dropped in the S S deal. This isn't right, surely. It might be fussy to say that the bread in the sandwich (sourdough) was falling apart, which meant handling was a bit different, so thicker slices might be a good idea. Again, for 9 smackers you don't expect mayo to be running down your hand. On the plus side, the pastrami was thick (well done). Would I go back? Certainly. But only if I was feeling flush. Note too that the cafe is small and not a place for those who like a bit of space around them when they eat."
