What Paulette Guillot doesn't like about Le Clou de Girofle:
Food the worst I have had in France and unless their is a change of management and cooking staff you should not go there. I am sure my wife's meat was off. The starters were not as described. The soup was so thick it was like baby food and the terrine was to soft. The bread was not proven properly so was doughy. The French Fries looked as if they were cooked in old dirty oil that was not hot enough. They were greasy... View all feedback.
Great food. Great staff.
I see the selection of reviews here, but our experience was a good one. We enjoyed the food and service. A three-course menu for 20 euros, which is not to be liked. I had Veal Marengo with Basmati rice and we polished it with a very beautiful Bordeaux wine.
Very nice restaurant in a pleasant setting. Located in a quarter of shaded houses, the corner is really beautiful and contrasts with the architecture after War of the city center of Caen. The kitchen is of quality with a sober and concise menu. The service is pleasant. The prices included. I advise the apéro board to start who is a copyy and greedy. Good address.
Good experience; the team at the top, very good mellow [wine], a magical velvety glass of cataigne and a marvelous legumes risotto! Overall, good dishes: . My taste buds have not been able to capture the subtlety of the orange blossom in the burned cream • Careful little space, soon to become noisy
Okay food. Service is slow. Quality of food is so so. Many other options to choose from in the area so ha
