The Yaya's speciality dish of Lamb and Lemon potatoes was the best I have eaten, a great balance of flavours and seasoning the lamb was so soft and melt in your mouth and the potatoes with just the right hint of lemon..... perfection! Save room for dessert as the Baclava ice-cream is gorgeous, a medley of creamy, nutty, honey goodness. A great way to finish your meal coupled with an authentic greek coffee! This is definitely a must do destination for Dinner if you are travelling to Cairns. Great service and a welcoming atmosphere from the staff made this a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Can't wait to come back!"

"All of the vegetarian items on the menu are vegan, except some drinks which you can order without dairy such as the vietnamese coffee. I was told by the owner that they cook the vegetarian food separately and also that the vegetarian soups and other items are vegan. The food is delicious and of superior taste and quality compared to other Vietnamese restos in Cairns that I have tried. Service is also good and the tables are kept clean. I highly recommend this place."

"My family celebrated my birthday at Tamarind and we had a fabulous time! All the dishes were sensational, I particularly enjoyed the baby barramundi which is served upright on the plate with a delicious tamarind sauce. The sides were very generous portions and all yummy. The most excellent part though was the service! The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond in their interactions. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to people enjoying a romantic date or a larger celebration like ours."
