"My family celebrated my birthday at Tamarind and we had a fabulous time! All the dishes were sensational, I particularly enjoyed the baby barramundi which is served upright on the plate with a delicious tamarind sauce. The sides were very generous portions and all yummy. The most excellent part though was the service! The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond in their interactions. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to people enjoying a romantic date or a larger celebration like ours."

"My wife and I stayed for three nights in Cairns and found this gem night two. We had great food.....They have two menus, one for tourists with the normal westerized Chinese food and another menu in Chinese but with pictures....however totally different dishes. As we enjoy authentic Chinese found and don't read or speak Chinese we asked Cherry the waitress to help us choose, and she did so fantastically. The next day we fished the barrier reef and brought some of our catch to be cooked for us...WOW..best meal ever. Highly recommended"
