"Very good. We took pizzas and ate at home. The staff are super kind and the pizzas were delicious and they're done soon. On the menu, there's a vegetarian and a vegan pizza, and you can even collect your own pizza. A real rapist!"

"We first came to this bar when we were holidaying with our kids about 15 years ago. Now returning as a couple mainly. Friendly and reasonably priced. Steve who runs the bar is amazing and have no idea how he does it mainly on his own. We will always return for the odd night when in the area."

"Entrance not very well indicated but once found, you climb on a beautiful terrace with sea view. top decor. indoor and outdoor tables depending on season and time. the service was long enough, we were in the middle of the season but it was remarkable that in other establishments. popular desserts but dishes without a little expensive."

"Have quite high expectation before coming because it has a high standing in Campos. We chose to be seated in the garden. We ordered the tasting menu for two persons. I rarely rated a restaurant below average, because I normally check the restaurant review before going. The problem with Tess de Mar is multiples. Of the 2 starters and 3 main courses, there are a total of 7 items, four of them are raw. It is not a sushi restaurant. Normally you do not expect at a fine dining restaurant’s tasting menu would provide a majority of raw dishes, though the weather is hot. The raw dishes include beef tartar, shrimp tartar, tuna tartar, and a rock oyster. Majority of the dishes are good except the chicken on rice, where the rice was undercooked. I have informed the restaurant that my partner is gluten free when booking. All going well except that at the second dessert the restaurant forgot and brought in gluten dessert. When the restaurant changed the dessert, it was almost identical to the first dessert. After a round of exchange of opinion, the restaurant brought to us a plate of fruit. After the dinner and back to the hotel, I have to eat some biscuits, because I am hungry. Yes, after a fine dining dinner, I still feel hungry. I do not have a big stomach and we are not the exceptional case. The couple sitting next to us also reflected that the portion was way too small, though they have a la cart dishes. That the portion was small was consistent across all dishes. I telephoned the restaurant the day prior to my dinner to confirm my booking. I asked the hotel about parking. The restaurant told me there is no parking inside the hotel but I can park in front of the hotel along the street. On the day we were driving to the hotel, some major roads were closed due to some event held in the town centre. I believe with such event the restaurant should have known before hand, but it did not inform me about the road closure that caught me with surprise. Over all it was not a nice experience at Tess de Mar."

"Unfortunatley disappointed on our return visit. The starter stated trio of goats cheese of which I had seen the pictures and looked amazing unfortunately I received a salad with a cooked piece of goats cheese, that was cold with orange ice cream ball on ?? The steak we had was amazing but mine unfortunately was very undercooked as I requested medium and raw towards the bone. The dessert was lovely. Camenbert with calvodos and apples, very nice. It is a beautiful location and if it is wasn't date night I would've said something, but I didn't what to taint the evening. I'm sure any issues could have been rectified. My point being the food should be as the menu suggests. My partner very much enjoyed his food and commended the chef. I would return but check what I will be served next time"
