The young man was very concerned, maybe the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed for dinner. The order was very politely taken with guidance and recommendations. - The food was okay, maybe we shouldn't have ordered sea-feed in cattle country. But after a week of Alberta, we wanted change. What User doesn't like about JOEY Barlow:
The baby back ribs have more bones than meat. Over priced. The staff and service was terrible. Rarely have I seen such a low moral attitude across the entire floor of a restaurant. View all feedback.
I and my two boys went 'fishy ' one recent Sunday lunch the two ordered ahi tuna sandwich and fish taco respectively while I chose crushed herbs salmon. My dish came with a delectable slightly lemony tweaked mashed potato which is really engrossing. My wife ordered blackened chicken with creamy Caesar side included in which were potatoes, bacon chips and greens. We shared each other 's dish and they were all good! Serving sizes were filling.It was Joey Barlow 's redemption of sort, at least for me, as when the California chicken burger I ordered months ago at this same restaurant turned out to have bitterly burned (chicken breast) crust and the veggie in the burger was sorrily wilted in an overly salty sauce!
September 4th we came to Joey Barlow for dinner, the place was amazing! There was a live DJ, we were welcomed by our server Roman who was polite, patient, quick, and made us feel at home. We ordered the Teriyaki bowl and it was to die for, compliments to the chef! We had so much fun that we decided to bring the family the day after! We were welcomed by Shala, and they were also so friendly. Elizah and William, the manager, recognized us from the night before and she came with great suggestions! This day was so special to us, as this is where we found out that we were going to be grandparents again! The kitchen was kind enough to make all the desserts with kind messages wrote on the dessert. This place has a special place in our heart. Thank you!!!!! To all the staff and kitchen team, whenever we come to Calgary, our dinner stop is Joey Barlow. Best regards, Andrea Mauricio .
I think Joey is onemof my absolute favorite restaurants. Their Hand Pressed Burgers are the absolute best! I tried their salads recently which is a huges switch from Burgers but I was not disappointed at all! As a matter of fact, I veryuch enjoyed them. Their service is perfect and the atmosphere is always great. They removed the flatbreads from their menu which was heartbreaking but there are so many other fantastic options there.

Food was good. Had the teriyaki chicken bowl. It was a little bit oily but still tasted good.Apple pie and donut was delicious. Highly recommend these two desserts. Our server was great!
